Mike_1324, I had a look in the hose that goes from the brake booster to the intake manifold and it was clean as a whistle, no evidence of any oil/fluid. cmarico and Santos, Although a possibility I think it is too much for that to be the case, it smells of petrol and it hangs in the air and doesn't ...

WHITE SMOKE FROM THE EXHAUST WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD???
What causes white smoke from the exhaust when the engine is cold? The smoke smells like petrol, the spark plugs were fouled and not firing very well so I replaced all the plugs, this doesn't seem to have fixed it though. The coolant level doesn't look like it's dropped and the oil and water do not ...

Thanks c0rrupt :P I was hoping no one would notice that. That's catalytic converter temperature. It's only fitted to japanese market cars. Can't answer whether it's a wiring problem or not, but the "big hole" in the extractors won't be helping. Steve. Thanks for that steve, I don't mean to offend ...

yes the single point injected 8valve. you should be able to either try the engine codes from a vitara 16v or the swift single point. I can't think of an advantage of a lighter flywheel in a car that goes offroad. If you use an escudo manual there's no need for any sort of adapter - the jackshaft fits straight in. The autos need adapters. Can you please be a little more specific? Yep, at that revs the engine is not efficently making power, so will require more right foot to maintain speed. 3000rpm for 100, maybe more, will make a much happier drive. I was thinking that 2300-2500 RPM would be a good goal for the 100KPH mark. Looks like I have it wrong. I have a friend with a ...

Not trying to thread jack here, but along the same lines, comfort wise, noise level, rpm and economy for longer trips/ bigger daily commutes what would be the engine of choice for sierra owners, the 1300cc twin cam swift engine or the 1600cc vitara engine? I'm considering one of those engines and ...
