turns our the rd28 has a sensor that runs on the injector pump pully
and the rd28eti has a sensor on the crank, im just curious as to what it does? if its just the tacho? that i can live without,

i just baught a gu patrol with a rd28eti and its dropped compression in cyl 3 and 4, it came with a spare rd28 non turbo engine, just woundering what the differences are and if i can just swap all the turbo gear/ injector pump and stuff over to get it back on the road again. any info would be awsome ...

if it was a desiel u'll need to get a special box thing from marks 4wd, if its a petrol you'l need a little black box that'll change the signal from 6cyl to 4cyl,

im not so much worried about the flex i just need the lift, its mainly for the front, by the look of it it seems like 80's coils wont fit the bundera front end ive put it, but if anyone could confirm this.

just done a bundera front end into a hilux and i need about 2-5 inch's of lift, just wondering if 80's springs fit? and i'm about to do a surf rear coil conversion, do 80's fit in the back?

any help would be appreciated

also it has the death wobbles after about 50 k's any help?

well they are 2 inch springs but are sagged as so more like 1 inch and i'm just running std rear commodore shocks and havent had a problem.

4 wires hey shnoz, theres more to it than that, it's still easy though, gotta change over the altinator, gotta wire up your gauges, then a couple of wires from the igniter to the ecu then 3 wires u gotta run from ecu to ign, start and batt+. its a piece of piss really just a pain pulling dash parts ...

if u want i can email u pics of mine. i have ruf with superior crosover arm etc, rides nice and flex's like fu*k, im using a bundy pitman i found it works better in my setup.... but im runnin a commo v6 so if i used a flat pitman it hits my sump......

yeh in doubting it'd be the timing since you cant really chage it... or can you?

My first thought was fuel pressure and running lean....the cat is the first muffler (not really a muffler) a few feet back from the extracters..if it doesnt have one, as above...even better, but it is not normal for them to glow like that, and the fact you are using heps of fuel explains the motor ...

ive got a series 1 commo v6 in a ln106 luxy and when i drive it at night i can see the headers glowing red, i thought it could be a fuel issue so i replaced the fuel pump, filter, pressure reg, 02 sensor, tps sensor and iac sensor. it definatly ran alot better after that, but still they glow red ...

ok turns out the 1 tonner springs won fit the eyes for the bush's arnt big enough to fit the shackle pins and any bush that would be remotely useful, so im gunna go with the ifs rears, im assuming 2 inch ifs rears with my extended shackles would make it around the right hight'ish. and also now im ...
