i heard the same about GTI seats, after spending a couple hours at the wreckers with a measuring tape, i found that HONDA crx (del sol) seats are the ONLY ones that bolt straight into sierra (385mm bolt to bolt width) Otherwise autotechnica seats & universal rails will fit as they are 385mm too.

i have fit 31's on my jimny. Had a 1.5" body lift (make sure you do this properly) 80mm toughdog suspension lift. Wheels were sierra offset 15x7's, dont go wider cause you'll regret it. If you can find some cheap 30" tyres you are better off with them, i had to trim the guards and the 31"ers still ...

i found my jimny to be far more comfortable than sierra, better turning circle too. The jimny handles well off-road if you have the right suspension. With a tough dog kit and the swaybar connected it handles better than most normal cars.
