just checked that have been slack and just letting my gf borrow my car instead of fixing hers. is that the charcoal canister pipe? when i blew into it it filled the secondary valve with fuel. then i started it and blew into the pipe and was just like when it was off.

yeah i had a float problem on my sierra aswell. but on the vitara the float is all plastic and cant be adjusted but it seemed to close the seat before hitting the top of the bowl.
can a fuel pump somehow stuff up and be forcing fuels in? can i check that by taking off the fuel line and blocking it ...

just checked the choke again and its fine. i did notice that fuel was excessively coming out of the jet in the secondary venturi, it was erratic for a bit but there was fuel pooling on the throttle valve. anyone with diagrams to adjust or rebuild would help heaps

yep ive checked the choke and it is operational comes on when first started then slowly opens as it warms. was adjusted to open slightly faster because the vitara seems to keep extremely cool like under 1/4
ive downloaded a manual and had a look at another and they have nothing about vacuum hoses.

having carby problems still, burning heaps of fuel, no power and spluttering over 2500rpms. major carbon deposits on spark plugs and a bit of smoke and soot coming out exhaust.

hey yeah ive tried to have a bit of a search but couldnt get the right answers. so heres the problem.

thanks, yeah had a bit of a read on the G13BB motor couldnt find much on that conversion but heaps about comparing the G16BB with them. but if Gwagensteve says its easier i believe him, so anyone know of a G13BB motor round northern NSW??? and about what price range for one???

the G13BB motor is that from a jimny? lots of people say thats better because the power with low revs, i dont seem to be able to find many of those engines for very cheap.

yeah i just done that uni, you just buy the spider (cross member) and comes with the bearing caps and clips. cost me $20 from a bearing shop, mine got worn out cos drove on the beach i think it rubbed out the grease and wore out the bearings and all fell out, this gave it free play so taking off it ...

yeah, got mates but i just dont trust their mechanic diagnostics, they always think they are right and rarely are, but since its a soft top the sound travels freely and sounds like the passenger side rear wheel, only happens now a bit in frist when taking off quickly and a bit in second.

oh kk, if it only ticks once each time you turn the key then sounds like the same prblem of a loose connection somewhere, if its continuous clicking fast like cogs slipping your starter might need replacing. :) good luck.

with my swift (same engine) sometimes the electrics inside would work but tryin to start it it would only give one click but not even try to turn over, this was the battery terminals werent connecting good enough, would just have to give them a good twist to make a good connection. i your engine ...

lol well was going to be more han an average system kinda for display and removable but customised to suit fastback sierra. this was the last one i did, 2 x amps, 2 x 12" subs and 4 x 6x9's but meh doesnt bother me not to post it up.

yep brick has it right.
parallel is mostly the favoured choice, best way is run two wires from the amps positive to the subs (one wire to each subs positive) then two wires from amps negative to the negative of subs, if the subs dont respond as good as they should its possible the wiring inside the ...

ok so was that straight in the top of carby?, also been hearing a kind of metal grind squeak while turning hard corners and accelerating (like a round about) sounds like its coming frome the back axle but havent had a chance to look at it, only started today not that bad,

kewl thanks, see that was a good useful answer the other guy just said there is a reason why you go high steer but didnt tell the reason, just when i was looking at mine it looked like the wheels would hit the springs before the drag link but i wouldnt want the bump steer anyway. thanks for that.
