Hello from Greece, I am in the proccess of buying a G60 minus axles, suspension, transmission and engine (not much left really! ). For the axles I am thinking of using GQ, converting them for leaf springs. Other options are MQ, but a set I have found is with drum brakes on the front. Are the ...

Here is a friend's Pajero from a recent trial. It has a D44 front axle, GM14 rear, 3.0 engine and compressor, and coilovers. The tires are Simmex 36X12.5X16. The whole conversion was very succesfull and it is a very well balanced and capable car. http://www.off-road.gr/uploads/files/superspy/2007 ...

adaptor for Jeep engine or transmission
Hi, I would like to ask if there are any adaptors either for the engine to transmission or transmission to transfer (LT 230). I've seen some stuff for Chevrolet products but none for Jeep. I am looking to use a Jeep engine, either the 6-cyl 4.0 or the V8 5.2 lt. to a Classic Range Rover. The reason ...

Large Pajero rear diff is 9.5" with 33.5mm and 31 spline axles. 80 Series rear diff is 9.5" (??) 33mm and 30 spline axles. The main difference is that the 80 Series is a full floater where as the Paj is a semi floater. So the 80 Series axles would probly be stronger overall but they can shear hub ...

Patrol Axles for Rover
Hello, I am thinking of using Patrol axles in my old Range Rover based buggy. I have heard that I can use GQ axles. Are there two types of these axles, one of them stronger? I can find easily here MK axles. Are they different (except they have leaf spring bases)? Are there aftermarket stronger ...

Range Rover has offset diffs front and rear (doesn't it?) Pajero is centred, Patrol rear is centred? Don't know if 80 series diffs are offset enough? Lockers for the (larger and stronger) Pajero 3.5 rear are hard to come by - ARB don't make one, and aren't planning to. Don't know if any of this is ...

Axle Strength
I want to replace the axles in a prototype vehicle I have. It is based on a Range Rover platform and so far I use the original axles. I have put 24 spline strengthen shafts but I need something stronger. Two options I am considering are : 1. Toyota 80 series 2. Patrol MK series I also know that the ...

I have got the C&P from a Japanese source I got from Frank. Aki was very helpful, but it takes 2-3 months to get them. I got the 7,25" for the front and two 8" sets. One for the rear and the other for the front of a 3lt GenI paj. So after a while, I changed my front to install the ARB locker and I ...

How can I tell if an axle is high or low pinion? I must remind that my front diff is low pinion (according to your database ). Does it make any difference...? I can find Dana 44 here from older Blazers but they are very wide. I am also looking from older CJ's. One other option I am looking now is ...

I am seriously thinking the SAS idea, although nobody has done it before here (at least in a pajero). First I have to look for the right axle. The problem is the position of the differential (driver's side). I would prefer not to get involved with swaping if possible. I know that there are Dana's 30 ...

When you have both lockers connected to your ARB compressor, is it still possible to connect this ...

xappas, I am quite impressed with your engine performance. If you would be so kind as let know me what "PS" is equal to, HP, KW and the KG-M, is the conversion you gave above to convert the torque to Ft/Lbs or NM? How has you powerplant performed in water crossing and etc. I really what you have ...

The dyno test from my engine is below: http://www.hyperpress.gr/phot/dynojet1_small.jpg http://www.hyperpress.gr/phot/dynojet2_small.jpg What we have done is to increase the compression rate from 9.8:1 to 10.9:1 and put a new exhaust. 1985LWB to convert the torque multiply it by 9,81 (or 10 for a ...
