hey all i am in the process of fitting a vt ecotec v6 in my 4wd ln106 hilux (was diesel if it matters) and dont want to run factory headers i would prefer a nice set of extractors on it but dont want to go buying any old set if they are not going to fit in between the chassis rails.

i actually meant still running leaf springs all together just add a coil that makes the car taller and the coil take the harshness out of the bumps.
anyway have you ever seen a bundera front diff under a hilux?

i got 14'' bilstein inverted in the rear of my lux with custom 5 leaf pack with 255/70 valving and its the best thing i ever did.the rear is so soft now compared to when i had the original setup with extended shocks.
it has alot more bodyroll now though as the tops are nearly touching together so ...

not sure exactly how much longer but it wouldnt have been much as i used 2'' lifted springs and standard length shackles and it gave me a really good shackle angle so maybe 10-15mm longer so it gives you better shackle angle.

i used to have efs comfort ride springs in the front of my hilux and it was brilliantly comfortable..pricey but definately worth the money.i now run a rear up front setup in my ute and the comfort is much the same.

mine is a tjm non winch bar and i modified it to fit my winch and it works great have winched up decent hills and the bar doesnt move.ill put up photos.
its braced with 12mm steel where the winch bolts to and welded 50mmx6mm angle onto the main bullbar support and also has one welded onto the inside ...

So it can be engineered using factory arms.
BUT the dot won't pass it is that correct?
So all in all I can still get defected for it?
its not a daily but driven from to the tracks and home pretty much every weekend

Thanks for the help guys I had a look on that locktup 4x4 website and they do pretty good deals.
Superior engineering want $1200 for a set of longs and locktup can do them for 800.
pretty stoked with that I will definitely buying a set through them and like mr dj said do it properly once and forget ...

Hi all I have a hilux ln106 2.8turbo and have 33's fitted and I am now on my 3rd cv I have broken.
I am upgrading to 35's as soon as I get some cash and I know the cv's won't like them.
My question is I can get 1 pair of chromoly cv's with std axles (27sp) for $750

no there is no play at all with the cv even giving it a tap with a rubber mallet.it is assembled to the stub axle and everything is tight.even when turning the swivel hub the cv knocks on both sides.

hey all i have been rebuilding my front diff in my hilux and i put a locker in the rear and was going to use my lsd in the front but everything is binding up when i have put it in.
any ideas on what the problem is because i was told that u can put the rear diff in the front and so on.

howya goin,
been doing some research in heat treating cv's and axles but it is a bit of a grey area.
i want to run 35's on my hilux but dont want to break cv's every trip out the bush.i have seen 35's on hiluxs so they must be able to stand up to the task as long as your not pushing them to hard ...
