Re: gu patrol engine change

the 2.8 is probably the hardest vehicle to start with when going to TD42, very easy for BR25 mind you!

You will need to weld new engine mount supports onto the chassi also

yeah its not the stick itself, its the position of the stick along the gearbox, the GU stick fits further back, if you put the GQ box in the shifter will be in the dash...

I wouldnt bother but you can you need the full tank to be warm and upside down. keep the empty tank cool, and join them together.

Go LPG, it will run upside down unlike stupid carbys, second best bet is the factory carb rebuilt. (shop around) or if you have to go holley, make sure its one off those off road jiggers.

peace.

x3 the bushes need to be bigger/fatter, try and fine a OEM rubber bush that will do the job, even if you have to change the springs, OEM rubber bushes are very flexible and more hard wearing than anything aftermarket.

Sounds like your bushes need to be more flexible rather than more solid.

probably something to do with hydraulic actuation rather than the clutch itself, check the master + slave cylinders and flush and bleed the system, see if that helps.
