Thanks for all the info It is definitely the 3.9l. Do you do any towing with yours? If I do like it, I will definitely be getting a mechanic's report - really don't need any more dramas with cars! Had enough in the last 4 years. What fuel economy do you get from yours? I am used to about 12kms per ...

Land Rover Disco 1992

Hi Guys, Opinions good bad and ugly on this Rover please. It's a 3.8l V8 Petrol engine Disco with 188,000k on the clock. What kind of repairs can be expected in the engine? How suitable are these cars for towing (around 2 tonne - horses). Have tried finding reviews on the net but there aren't many ...

Brahma Canopies

Does anyone know if the Brahma canopy makers still exist? I googled & white paged them, with no luck.

My mother's hilux's canopy is a bit munted, and she needs to get it repaired. If Brahma doesn't exist, does anyone know of a place that can fix canopies (well). - In Vic.

Cheers
Mel

Decent Diesel Mechanic

Hey all, Anyone know of a decent diesel mechanic in north-west Melbourne (Essendon area etc) that won't try and screw me around just because I'm small and female? My mechanic is trying to take me for a ride, and I really don't appreciate it. My car is due for A LOT of work (injectors, new steering ...

Thanks Aza...

Another one:

How much *more* difficult will it be to turn with 33s instead of 31s? I have no power steering and being tiny (yes I am tiny) i now have rather impressive biceps for a chick... will it make turning/parallel parking even more bitchy?

A few Hilux questions...

Hey Guys, I'm new to the boards so don't abuse me if something I say is a bit noob, I'm the equivalent of a technical idiot. A few of my questions have already been covered by MTYLUX but I have a couple more. Installing exhaust and extractors - what if any power gains would I be looking at? I'd have ...
