as said they are the insulators. if you short the system it will blow your fusible link. if it is anything like the 2.4L big block diesel haha, it will have a manifold heater underneath the manifold as well. toyota have them, they are the same as landcruiser ones so should be easy to find.

you should be able to get the old studs out and put them into the right spots. pretty sure the block has holes tapped for both.

i have a picture saved to my hard drive for the plans for a bash plate for an IFS surf/4runner. if you PM me your email address i can send it to you. if you measure it up with your car, you can see if it fits and make some adjustments if it doesnt.

thanks for the reply mate. yep, thats is what i am going to have to do with mine. when the throttle linkage isnt connected and i move the arm by hand it goes to full revs. so will do the same when i get a chance.

hey guys. had a diesel leak from my injector pump which i sourced to be the govenor cover seal leaking. removed all the top of the injector pump in the car and replaced the seal and its all good. only problem now is that the car has trouble building revs and only really revs to 3500rpm. is it likely ...

looks like a good conversion mate! hot tip for young players with the 2 rear exhaust port stud swap. tap all 4 of the holes out that are being swapped to and put some antiseize on the studs before winding them into the block. will make them 10000% times easier to get out next time when they are ...
