Outer Limits 4x4 Board

From what i can tell from reading lots is you will not get much better with a 4.5 injected either.

Has anyone ever heard of fitting the centre point injection from a Ford etc to a 3F? I really like the sound of this.

I drive when i need to but mostly to go out wheeling.

At this stage i have only spoken to two people who have done the Ford conversion though this was with 1 a 60 series who thought it was a good choice, more power, lighter engine than the 2 or 3f he had. I think you will find that the older style MT has been replaced in Australia with the newer tread pattern that is known as the crawler in the states. Could be the valves in some form. Have a go at cleaning your throttle body also.

They look a fair bit like the Navara factory rims from the earlier navara.

Depends on tyre brand a fair bit. My 285's measure the same as the MT MTZ's that are 305.

I'm thinking of reducing the float height a tad, at the moment the fuel is sitting 3/4 of the way up in the fuel window at idle. Any ideas or thoughts on this would be ideal.

Do you think it's starving for fuel or flooding? I tend to think my one is now flooding due to all the black smoke that comes out when started.

Would a electronic fuel pump work? The Carbi Toyota's have a mechanical pump & in my way of thinking would not be pumping enough fuel into the carbi at low rpm (when climbing etc).

I am almost willing too give it a go & use a switch to turn it on as i climb...I wonder?

Go electronic ignition while your at it, piss the points off...much better result.
