use the sierra engine mounts,but you will have to cut a small section out of the clutch cable bracket where it fouls with the r/h engine mount. when you have it all ready to go back in,dont tighten up the new mounting plates for the engine mounts(the black ones that came in kit)untill you do a trial ...

automotive design engineers get paid alot of money to work this stuff out,if its a 1.6 8v head off a vitara,then i would imagine that the most suitable carby for power and fuel economy would be "HOLD BREATH" the standard vit carby,which just happens to be the very same one you have in your hot ...

What vehicle...if its a sierra,could be a transfer shifter bush($20 part)..if you pull your shifter stick out,the ball at the bottom of the stick seats in this bush,and locates the correct position for shifting from 4H to 2H.easy to replace..

have you seen the MAXTRAX,they are basically a plastic ramp that you jam under your wheels for more traction,ideal for sand driving and perhaps "a little bit of mud!"..i think they sell for about $250.NO Whinch,no extra batteries,no maintence!! 5kgs compared to 40kgs(whinch and battery)

have just finished the 1300 to 1600 conversion (g13b to g16a) in a 91 sierra,have only driven a few times,and not very far,but i am finging that sometimes after hard acceleration the engine starves a little when you back off..is this just teething issues,or have others experienced similar issues ...

jaycar do a HID conversion for H1,h2,h4 lamps for about $90 buck ea. put this on your front spotties,and leave the 55w in the rest,that should give you enough spare capacity on the alt..when would you have all 6 running simultanously anyway,unless you are going round in circles??as long as it doesnt ...

you definatly need that o ring in there..i pulled out the sump,and it was like panning for silver,the damage has already been done.Oh F#@K..
probably wont get it rebuilt,may try to source a baleno motor

yeah..i did the cut and graft from the old vit pick up,but did not notice any o-ring,i am going to pull it back out any way..what have people done in regards to getting a second mounting point for the pickup ,as the nearest point for the sierra pick up to bolt to is at the big end bearing and i aint ...

oil pressure problems after engine swap (1.3 to 1.6 sierra)

have just fitted a 1.6 to my sierra,did the whole adaptor plate thing,that was no worries..but the sump and pickup from the 1.3 also was swapped over,got the whole thing running ok,but i have low oil pressure has anyone had similar probs after this conversion,or is it just a dicky oil pump...the 1.6 ...

tek screws for sure..but use small washers aswell,as it spreads the rubber more evenly(you will see what i mean) dont be too trigger happy on the battery drill either,you just want it snug,too tight and it distorts the rubber.i used about 12 per wheel.. after fitting complete,paint with black rust ...

king f100s come with a 13deg offset,
with 235 on front,they stick out 35mm past the guards,and 30s on the rear stick out 15mm past the guards..had to fit rubber flares to keep cops happy

ROH 15inch with 13deg offset..
got them a few weeks ago for $70 per wheel(fitted and balanced)
got 5,one for the spare at that price..

i have spoken to a few about this problem..the best idea i heard was. keep the 1.3 rad(reco or new) remove the clutch fan from the engine install a electric thermo fan,controlled from the top temp sw ,but have a defeat switch so you can turn the fan off in water crossings etc!and let it dry out. you ...

there is also a hole in the top l/h side of the bell housing,(R/H side if looking from engine bay!) just behind the ex manifold/extractors..i think there was a rubber cap over it at one stage,but mines gone.clutch dust etc could also escape there... i would be putting the plate back in,as you will ...

just make sure the pulleys are square to each other,as they are wider than the belt..if not the belt may drift under load and high revs ,and end up throwing off..TEARS!! ;)

:D .. Try F100 rims in 15in. as they are the same bolt pattern .got this setup 2 weeks ago,70ea so i got the spare aswell....no more tyre scrub on the front springs,yay!
