Probably find the teeth on the rin ggear of the flexplate are worn.If you pull the starter off you may be able to see the worn teeth.The only way to fix it is to pull the gearbox out.

I'd change oil & filter, give it run on the fresh oil & change oil & filter again. Dont put coolant in for the first 1000km after that flush the radiator & top it up with coolant & water.

Try putting a funnel in the top of the radiator & fill with coolant then start motor & keep topping up coolant. You need to get top & bottom hoses hot so you know the thermostat is open.

Is your ute cab the wide guard model? If it isn't you will have to change the headlight mounts or support panel if you want to run the wide guards.

Does anyone know where you can get the plugs to go onto the sensor & injectors on an LS2 chev. We are going to run after market computer so don't need all the plugs. We are fitting it into a GQ shorty so even if we get a damaged harness from a VZ commodore.

Try the ballast resistor on the coil. Just put a wire across the 2 wires & see if that keeps it going.

If it runs crap on gas you can just about eliminate anything to do with EFI. Check your throttle body & base idle.
