Hi mate, i have a BJ71 import cruiser 24volt with the 13B-T motor, same as the BJ74 except mines a SWB yours will be a middy, wouldnt be much mechanical differences i dont think, parts should be easy enough to come by, ive never had an issue i think the only difference is the cold start pack 24v ...

Personally i'd rather recommend the BJ74 the mid wheel base with the 13B-T in it over the 3F, my mate has one of these and the engine get's it up every dune and the low down torque is pretty awesome, tough car too, pretty much unbreakable, i have the BJ71 the SWB also with the 13B-T....Fun cars they ...

already got one of these to run 12v accessories, but they are unable to charge an auxillary battery, this is what the equaliser is for

The only difficulty with a second alternator is mounting the alternator. The rest of it is conventional - regulator, battery, charge light (to provide initial excitation of the alternator on start-up, but some systems seem to manage OK without it.) ah k cheers, so when mounted does it have to run ...
