Re: R150 to 3RZ? Bellhousing??

Yep, 2TR bellhousing bolts up. You have to be sure to get a box with the right input shaft length...there are two on the R151F, and you need the shorter one. Not sure if it's the same with R150F You may have difficulty finding a wrecker happy to sell a bellhousing by itself. I got mine from ...

Re: Locktup high steer vs Trail Gear

Tthe others have a valid point in their circumstances, but my experience has been the opposite.... I've bought a few things from TrailGear direct, and saved heaps over LocktUp's prices.... like less than half price even with shipping. Admittedly, these have been smaller items (but heavy, like ...

Re: 3RZ+T + R150F into Hilux

Ok, bolted it up this morning....2TR bellhousing on short (160mm) shaft R150F matched up to 3RZ perfectly. Too easy! :D

Re: 3RZ+T + R150F into Hilux

Yep, I have read them all too. My wife thinks she's been widowed! I believe the Marlin bellhousing has been discontinued, once it was discovered that the same could be achieved with a Toyota part cheaper. Could be wrong tho, but that is the impression I have got from reading. I can tell you ...

Re: TYRE CHOICES

I have 33x12.5" Kumho KL71s on my Lux..... totally outgunned my mate's 32" Maxxis Bighorns in the slop last weekend....put it down to a combination of the size and the tread pattern.... the Kumhos are pretty aggressive and excellent in the mud. 1" wider than BFG and Maxxis too. Wearing pretty well ...

Re: 3RZ+T + R150F into Hilux

Heaps of info on 3RZ conversions on Outers, ToyMods, and Pirate4x4.... unfortunately much of it deals with US trucks, and things do not always translate perfectly. Honestly, I have spent dozens of hours (on night shift at work, usually) searching....Google is surprisingly useful, but you have to ...

Re: 3RZ+T + R150F into Hilux

I had a better look at it this morning, it's living in my father-in-laws shed at the moment... I swapped the 2TR bellhousing on, and the input shaft protrudes 15mm past the mouth of the bell. We test-fitted it to the motor (with and without the clutch), and it engages the spigot bearing ifne, just ...

3RZ+T + R150F into Hilux

Hi, I have started collecting parts for a 3RZ+T conversion into my 3L LN106R dual cab Lux. I have bought a 3RZ, R150F and a 2TR bellhousing from a KD150 for a conversion. I made sure I got a box with a long input shaft (190mm bell), as that is apparently the one to use with the 2TR bell (or so ...

Hi. I have one of these also, and although mine is stock atm, the following should help you: 1. 235/75R16 will fit stock KJs (only slightly larger than original 235/70R16) 2. Best advice on lifts is to talk to CRDSTU at AusJeepOffroad.com (AJOR). He is commonly regarded as being the guru of KJ ...
