Re: Tuff Truck 2014 :-)
I'm with Johnsey (first time for everything). Myself being one of the scrutineers & knowing Pip & Tim well, I got the heads up from Pip that he was going to use the rules to his advantage. He had a crapload if paperwork for me when he rocked up & like he said to me, don't look for 51% or 81 ...

Re: CCDA external roll cage rules
^^ would be good business for local chassis manufacturers. And for those who want to be competitive in Ultra4 without building a second truck. As long as body specs are tight, starting with bonnet remaining full width, so vehicles remain identifiable.

Re: CCDA external roll cage rules
Thank you Pricey et al for all your hard work sorting this out. The main objective should be to ensure the highest level of safety for those competing into the future, even if that means some unhappy campers in the short term.
Having said that, I hope when the specs are finalised ours is okey dokey ...

Will try that.
Apparently the RR master is good for GU Patrol brakes, as others have setups similar with good results.
Cheers

Bleeding CNC cutting brakes.
Does anybody have any special techniques to bleed CNC cutting brakes when plumbed inline between master cylinder and rear brakes?
Or has anybody had issues with rear brake pressure using the footbrake when they have a cutting brake plumbed in?
They are obviously a high point in the brake system ...

Re: School me on this Master Cylinder
The lower cylinder is the proportioning valve. Was hoping to bypass that. basically though, if both cylinders are the sme size, I should be able to run rear brakes off one, and front brakes off the other, with a hose joining both cylinders via the top fittings. ??

Re: are 3.0l gu`s pieces of sh%#
We had GUs for work cars from about 2005 onwards. Granted, we only had them until 100K on the clock, but in that time we didnt have any issues on any of the 4 vehicles apart from worn front shock and tie rod bushes. And they were hard on tyres. Fuel economy was pretty hows it going, but you'll find ...

H233 tailshaft question
Hi Nissan gurus,
Just a quick one, are the pinion flange and t-case output flange on either end of a GU tailshaft the same. Reason being I am making a couple of tailshafts to fit H233 diffs at one end and LT230 transfer at the other - If I can get away with getting my hands on one complete ...
