Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Cheers mate, he's got the a motor, harness, computer, coil pack. The main thing we are worried is the gear box and bell housing. The 80 series is a 5 speed, is the stud pattern on the rear of the the motor the same on all the 4.5 petrols?

my first gear has shit its self i can only take off in second unless i jam it into first while rolling, got a quote to get it fixed and the stooges want approx 2 grand, i run 35's and 20psi in my gq ute and i dont even really give it a hard time.

i have a schwitzer turbo on my gq ute and it seems pretty good, spools up a bit early for my liking i can hear it loud as day spooling up at about 1100 rpm and seems to run out of chuf by about 3 grand, its running 15 psi,

you should listen to baz he's onto a good thing, would love to see some pics of the build up. it will be deffinatley better than a tojo

between hot and cold is only very minimal, only a few degrees, wouldnt hurt to fit a new guage, its cheaper than going through the cooling system if its fine.

if you are that worried about popping beads, just get beadlocks, problem solved

diesel power systems, up around kawana somewhere, meant to be really good.

i totally disagree, i ran 35x11.5 pedes on 8 inch rims and popped the beads a few times, since running the same tyres on ten inch rims i havnt had a problem.......and they look heaps tougher

sorry to hijack but i am having trouble getting first gear and reverse, and it is very notchy shifting, stays in gear fine but i hate forcing it into first and grinding it into reverse mate i had the same dramas it was very hard to get into first and reverse would grind every time,i tried different ...

the same thing is happening with my gq ute but it pops out of first, it still does it after fitting a brand new clutch

hey guys i'm up for a new clutch for my gq ute, i want to go heavy duty and i am thinking about going a safari tuff clutch, anyone run one of these or are there any other alternatives.

looking at getting my gq ute with denco turbo kit tuned (dyno if possible) and intercooled at the same time, not a little gu cooler a decent front mount, drive in drive out i dont want to have to stuf about with anything myself, does anyone know of anywhere near sunshine coast QLD who does this sort ...

are 10.5 inch rims too wide for 11.5 inch tyres, havnt had the chance to get out in the bush and just wondering if i will have the same problem, maybe i should get internal beadlocks before i let pressure out

thied to fit 10 inch rims to an 80, no go there hey, bit of a bummer.

just depends on what size wheels you run, if you run 29's you will make more hp on the dyno than if you are running 37's, but the engine will make the same to the flywheel.
