Hey guys, Have been looking at getting one of these winches for a while. Was watching ebay and a working one went for around $1000. I have a mate that also has one but it doesn't work. I'm wondering what would be a fair offer for it and how much I would be looking at to get it rebuilt. Thanks for an...

DX vs ST

Hey guys, Looking at getting an 05/06 gu coil cab in the near future and just wanted to ask what the not so obvious differences between the two model are. I know they have different flooring and seats. Does the DX have electric windows? and do either of the models have cruise control? Cheers for any...

I also bought gauges off the same ebay seller from the states - ihavethebestpriceperformance@hotmail.com

Got the cobalt gauges that were going to cost a fortune here in Australia. I cant remember exactly what I paid for them but it was around $300.

Re: Rebuild Kits 1HDT

Hey mate, I got a rebuild kit for mine with everything in it from a place where I live. I got it at trade price which is quite a bit less than what the average joe would get it for. Ended up being from memory around $750-800. Doesn't really help you that much but give you an idea what they are reall...

Hey mate. I think from what I've read which wasnt all that much was that they only make them for the rear diff and not the front in the 80's.

Re: Best 4wd to buy??

Yeah I think I'll end up keeping it. I might have a look through the auctions for a 105 series that's had some water damage due to all these floods and maybe do a motor transplant from my 80 to it. I would prefer to put a 1HD-FTE in a 105 rather than the 1HD-T that I have in my 80 as it is a newer m...

Hey sorry for the vague posting..

Looking for something that I can go camping in and use as a weekend warrior. I wanna slowly build it up so I can go up to the cape in it. I will probably put a 3/4 inch lift in it and run 35's on it.

Best 4wd to buy??

Hey Guys, I currently have a 1990 Turbo Diesel 80 series which I rebuilt the motor, turbo and put a new exhaust etc about 15,000k's ago. I am looking at selling it to buy a 06 GU Coil Cab Ute. A mate of mine was saying that the 80's are one of the best 4bys when it comes to flexing and that I would ...

With those Auberin gauges, can one gauge measure both egt and boost psi at the same time? Or do you need 2 gauges to do that?

Re: Pyro Gauge

Thanks for the replies! Yeah I had a look at the Auberins ones. They don't look bad for the price you pay for them. Works out to about $100 once you take into account the probe and cover. How do you go about getting them to show boost psi as well? I have an 80 series and haven't yet played around wi...

Hey guys, Looking for a good pyro gauge, doesn't have to be digital either. I have noticed though that some of the digital ones also show boost as well so that might be handy. Thanks for all the replies guys, I'm running 33's on just a set of sunnies. Will these rims have enough offset to fit the newer brake system to the front? Hey Guys, Looking at doing an upgrade on the brakes of my 80. Its a 1990. I have 15's on it and want to keep it that way. Looking at a new one for my turbo'd 80.. Is there any point getting a Beaudesert system or is it just a waste of money? there can't be much difference between one from them and one from just an exhaust shop round the corner.
