i had overheating isues with my tb42 and the viscus cluch fan was stuffed so i put a new one on and about three months later did a head gasket. thought i should take it to a mechanic, and he told me the cluck fan was stuffed. as the story goes (apparently) it is much better to put more fluid in them...

bide your time and get a 4.2 diesel you might need to spend a little more but it will be well worth it. stock 4.2 wagons come up every now and again but do go really quick

i have got a after market speco temp gage in mine because the standard gage sat half way no matter the conditions now you can the rise and fall of the temp. good luck

ive got a two inch spring and 2inch body in my wagon running 36peeds i kept the standard rear and threw the front away and i am happy in the way it drives both off and on road. the best thing is it dosent cost anything it took about 15mins. oh and beed locks good luck

i had the same problem with my tb42 it was a stuffed head gascket which in turn cracked the head. i did a presure test and had a couple of machanics look at it. my money is on head. sorry

i think i will have to go turbo. on the weekend the car got hot traveling at 100 so i pulled over and basically it was pushing water out of the radiator overflow bottel instiead of recirculating it so i waited for it to cool and drove it the short distance home and took it to the mechanic on monday....
