brown davis in Bayswater Victoria sell them, last time I bought a 3 port it was $75 - but you might want a 5 port to ensure ther fuel returns to the tank it came from, not sure on cost though. My 3 port system works fine for two tanks though.

I think for small appliances you are fine via the chassis. If it is a big current draw, and remember to do the current multiplication for the 12V - 240V exchange, then direct to the battery is better. Reason I say this is the path via the body/chassis is from cables and they all have connection ...

I think you will find the name plate rating is what you get out of the panel, so if its 190 W, that its output. I base this on my experience of 120W of solar panels on the 4wd. I have an in line ammeter and in direct sunlight get around the 9 amps out of them at best. It doesn't last for long though ...

If its the Marks Adapter gearset you will notice a significant increase in noise from the transfer case over standard. Not an issue with the comp guys, but can get a bit annoying if a touring rig.

Agree with the above regarding storage behind seat and declaration if about to be searched. If the bolt is closed, the firearm is considered loaded, which you are not allowed to have ...

Dont fall for the mistake of spraying crc or the like in there as this will just make your brushes wear out real fast,

Is this because the CRC attacks the brushes or because it causes dirt and dust to stick to it and turn the area around the brush in a globby lapping compound?

Derek, when you go the donaldson, go the 10" dia unit, not the 6". The 6" doesn't have enogh air flow rating for even the 2.8 in my mind, having purchased one and looked at the amount of large material carried over onto a new filter. Pet hate hearing the 'black magic ' statement. Absolute rubbish ...

Dan, all this sounds like we are heading towards a sensible solution. The racing guys have high duty cycle loadsfor short periods of time and no doubt are right onto their maintenance. The finer filter style units work really wel when they are clean and they do have a better capture and filtration ...

Dan, sounds like a camp fire outburst to me! As the filter clogs up, the flow decreases thru it - and a turbo is not what you would call a 'positive displacement device', so whilst it continues to spin, it just gets less air to pass thru it, so on that basis I would say its highly unlikely to suck ...

Trudy, I am putting it down to voltage right now. The panel will likely be putting in more than 12V, probably around 15-16V at a guess. This keeps your float voltage above the threshold for the tv to operate happily. The 100a/hr battery should be heaps big enough, as long as it is charged up ...

Dan, micron rating is part of the issue. The other components are air to cloth/filter ratio, face filtration velocity and construction format of the filter itself. I have spent a lot of time in the application area of fliters with vacuum and positive pressure air system over the years and these all ...

Date, I have had this happen in NT when the aircon in the room is left on 24/7, but the room is a lot more sealed up than a vehicle, which has lots of air leaks and venting, plus the constant heat load from the engine and the environment.
