I think you will find the name plate rating is what you get out of the panel, so if its 190 W, that its output. I base this on my experience of 120W of solar panels on the 4wd. I have an in line ammeter and in direct sunlight get around the 9 amps out of them at best. It doesn't last for long though ...

I had a 1983 3l diesel LWB auto, standard mechanical fitout. I can echo what Steve said about the front wheel brgs - a real problem. Having said that, I found it a realy well balanced 4wd off road - as long as you have enough time in your calender to get there! Had the auto rebuilt after it burnt ...

Agree with the above regarding storage behind seat and declaration if about to be searched. Would add also that the bolt needs to either be out of the action or open, and the ammo stored in a locked container. If the bolt is closed, the firearm is considered loaded, which you are not allowed to have ...

Derek, when you go the donaldson, go the 10" dia unit, not the 6". The 6" doesn't have enogh air flow rating for even the 2.8 in my mind, having purchased one and looked at the amount of large material carried over onto a new filter. Pet hate hearing the 'black magic ' statement. Absolute rubbish ...

Dan, all this sounds like we are heading towards a sensible solution. The racing guys have high duty cycle loadsfor short periods of time and no doubt are right onto their maintenance. The finer filter style units work really wel when they are clean and they do have a better capture and filtration ...

Dan, sounds like a camp fire outburst to me! As the filter clogs up, the flow decreases thru it - and a turbo is not what you would call a 'positive displacement device', so whilst it continues to spin, it just gets less air to pass thru it, so on that basis I would say its highly unlikely to suck ...

Dan, micron rating is part of the issue. The other components are air to cloth/filter ratio, face filtration velocity and construction format of the filter itself. I have spent a lot of time in the application area of fliters with vacuum and positive pressure air system over the years and these all ...

Michael, tried to paste the link, but it dropped the completed message out - operator error I suspect! Jump onto ebay, punch in 'oil cooler' and scroll down thru the list for a 'polished aluminium finned cooler, 18" long, price $125 - gone up a bit, but different vendor - AH Components is the seller ...

Trudy, have you spoken to Kogan about this? That should be your first call. I suspect you are getting enough voltage drop to drop the screen out. You say the voltage regulator is set at 12v, but what is the voltage at the tv, or at the end of the plug? You might find the cable is small enough to ...

Sloshy, I have to admit I have never burnt out a ps pump before - what are you doing for this to happen? Anyway, regarding temps, I have just gone thru the installation of a new hydraulic winch running off a second PS pump. I have measured the temp of the pump and winch motor and valve block without ...

I think the devil will be in the interpretation of the 'style' of the battery. Some battery manufacturers call their units, sealed, low maintenance or sealed no maintenance, and its a battery that stops you topping it up, but it still has a very small venting system for any gassing activity. The ...

Date, I have had this happen in NT when the aircon in the room is left on 24/7, but the room is a lot more sealed up than a vehicle, which has lots of air leaks and venting, plus the constant heat load from the engine and the environment. I would have thought it wouldn't matter too much unless the ...

Joel, thanks for the comments. Its a GQ, so cannot be chipped. The econony has dropped over time, no doubt as the weight has increased. The motor is pretty poor from a torque perspective as you know. Guys, great read, so here is my question. I have 97 GQ 2.8TD LWB 110,000klm. Its pretty heavy with gear, and economy has droppedright dowm over the last 3 months. I am suspecting the injectors is part of the problem. The vehicleis stock engine wise, and I don't really want to do any major mods or try ...

I have a safari snorkle fitted to my 97 2.8lTD GQ. I don't know if the 4.2 filter housing is the go or not. Either way, its a bugger to get the ...

When my 75 series was fitted with a Kaymar rear bar, they cold chiselled off the nuts - real easy, and replaced them with standard nuts. For the nuts further down the frame that were difficult ti reach, they welded a piece of 3mm steel wire to the hex face of the nut to allow the nut to be located ...
