that would be the semi floating bearing bit doing that , as the pads are getting knocked from side to side due to the endfloat, pushes the pistons inside the caliper back, allowing an air gap to form, you would need to change master cylinders to allow for a different residaul pressure at the rear ...

ok ,so you cut the backing plate off, is the small section of backing plate around the bearing retainer still there? does tit need to be there, a few posts have said remove completely, others have said cut it off

what size bolts to use

Did any one work out if the new axle studs had to be M8, M10 or M12
Im guesing they are closer to M10 x 1.0, could someone confirm this?

I also got d-gas kit on my 3LT 2.8 TD
goes good, just specify to downsize the jet 5thoa smaller than recommended to be sure in hot weather that the engine dont detonate,

as the intake temps can be very high causing gas knocking

about 300 can get you a water injection kit whether you run methanol or spirits of some sort is up to you,

water by itself cools well enough as long as its distilled to some degree, you dont want extra minerals coating up your engine

I have the same R32, although I have remanufactured the rocker cover not to have to remove the cooler to gain access to the oil cap, using a subaru fill neck , no body lift, but plenty of room still a fan on top or in the bonnet may work but never bothered, water injection next would increase ...
