Check the small electrical plug on the air cleaner, mine was left off after a service and behaved the same as yours.

Are the uni joints now out of phase?? this will cause binding and vibrations also.

the 4l60e transmission should have a casting number (4l60e) or part no. sticker on it, most engine mounts bolt on to the drivers side but you will need to remove the passenger side engine mount post from the chassie and weld on a new post, it depends on what engine and front suspension your hilux ...

gregory, you will need a new hi pressure hose made as the fittings from hilux to commodore are different, a hydraulic hose fitting shop will be able to make one. vt v6 auto is a 4l60e but the box needs to be dissassembled to fit the new output shaft.

BUT is there any point to fitting my tower spacers now or am i missing something?? What you're missing is longer shocks and a superflex arm. With you're current setup there is no need to lift the shock mount. Got superflex arms in both sides at the moment, i dont think going higher will help me ...

high RPMs

i had a problem like yours, throttle sticking at 2000+rpm only when warm. i checked vacuume lines, throttle cable, air leaks etc finally took the throttle return spring housing off the injector pump and it was full of fine grit, dont know why it only stuck when it was warm but has never done it since.

silicone grease is your friend, mollycote have an o ring grease that works well, just pack the ends of your leads and plug them back on the dizzy and plugs, works on electrical conections aswell.
