The auto hubs are rubbish, I had mine crap out on me with 33's as well. Manual hubs still going strong after many years.
Luckily for you it will be quicker to swap the auto's to manual's then it will be to fix up the spelling in this thread

At the moment I have a 65L fuel tank in my GQ shorty, correct me if Im wrong but there were bigger tanks that came on the GQ's were there not? If so, is it an easy pull out/put back in job or are mounting points a problem?

what sort of lengths does it come in, Ive got close to 50m of cable on my PTO and it aint looking as pretty as it once did?

I have had 2 mates with 75s lc that needed transfer in neutral for pto to engage, and one bloke that converted a GU to GQ pto also needed tranfer in neutal.
So I have not seen either of these be able to be driven and winched at the same time.

More then likely it will be the plastic piece of shit cog that goes between the motor adn the winder cog on the window frame. Both mine have shagged out and its just a matter of getting them from nissan or elsewhere and putting them in

Dont bother with that high a lift. If someone in or near your 4b farts or sneezes in the wrong direction then youve just f**ked your GU and it will be an interesting time putting it back on its wheels

Towing in a petrol, should be sweet. I tow my 12ft ski boat behind my diesel shorty with 5" lift and 35's and its not too bad. Sure its not a weapon of mass acceleration, but hey it never is :lol:

I have a half size rack on my shorty...dunno what brand it is but it is the same length as an half size ARB model. It goes from the back of the car to about the back edge of the front doors. Plenty of room on it to fit swag and esky and shite like that. A 3/4 length one might just be the right size ...

I'd still be inclined to go to the 33's. Alot more pleasant for touring me thinks. I am dropping my 35's back to 33's because I am not really doing much stuff now that requires 35's and am mainly getting into the touring more now .
