Hi there, i agree you would be better of going for a larger tyre in the 15in rim sizs, i think the standard wheel is about 15x8 and i've fitted 35x12.50x15 onto my pajeros and have not had any problems at all other than having to make a few mods ie. body and suspension lift but prior to these i had ...

the body lift that had beem done is just over 2 1/2 in at 65mm not a 50mm lift, so needed to trim the fan to clear the bottom hose if i had only done a 50 mm lift then there would have been plenty of space, also the rest of the cooling system is in 100% order and i have also checked to see if there ...

what about the motor from the pajero evolution instead, 280 kw as standard and would most likely be a simple nuts and bolts swap over i've had one of these a few years ago and they are completly stupid !! 140mph + performance as standard they are 3500 cc with the mivec valve setup

i had to trim the fan as it was fouling on the bottom hose quite badly after a 2 1/2 in body lift, there is no problem for most of the time but i did notice that the temprature did start to rise a little up to 3/4 when i did particurly long (1/2 mile) and steep (35deg + on the gauge in the car)climb ...

Electric Fan Conversion

Hey There, i'm thinking about junking the viscous fan thats fitted to my 93 2.5 swb auto Pajero and replacing it with an electric fan, as i've had to trim the original fan after lifting the body and i'm not happy that the smaller "trimmed" fan has enough spare capacaty for heavy off roading during ...

following on from above i would also check that you dont have excessive play in the steering box, this is also very easy to adjust, BUT DO SO IN SMALL AMMOUNTS AND SLOWLY !!! and check all other steering joints / track rod ends etc first for play and while your doing that you may as well get the ...

Hiya Kevin, i've reset the camber to about 2 degrees negative (tops of wheels angeling inwards) i did'nt want to adjust it anymore than this as i felt that it would cause excessive tyre wear on the insides of the tyres, but i do have to say that the improvement in the handeling was felt immediatly ...

Cheers for that, What size spacers have you fitted there, are they around the 30 mm or are they a wider than that? also do i take it that you've either fitted shock absorber extensions or have you just changed them for longer shocks, if so which ones have you fitted to keep full axle travel? Thanks ...

Rear Coil Spring Spacers

i@ve just noticed that coil spring spacers are available for some 4x4s like the nissan patrol etc but have not seen them advertised (in the U.K)for the Gen 2 pajero and was wondering if anyone has any experience of these spacers of if they have had any fitted to Pajero's
