if its only leaking a bit of oil just replace the axel seals (inside the diff housing) that will stop the oil leak. if your getting water in the hub then replace the rest of it. good luck with it But to get to the axle seals you need to pull everything else off so you might as well replace it all ...

According to the Mickey Thompson rep the duratracs aren't a thicker cord but then he was trying to sell me the ATZs

Well I got them on the truck today... They're much quieter than the old mtrs, but then most new tyres would be quieter than half worn mtrs. They don't feel as beefy as the mtrs, with only 2 ply sidewalls and 4 ply tread compared to the mtrs with 3 ply walls and 5 ply tread. Will keep you posted once ...

I'm getting a set mounted up on saturday. The sidewalls were quite flexy but didn't feel overly soft if that makes sense :? ... I tried poking my finger through it and couldn't so I can conclude that they are somewhat stronger than tissue paper! :D I still haven't been able to find a single ...

lol how do you test the sidewall without killing a tyre? =) Well I imagine if they are indeed "like tissue paper" it would be pretty obvious. I also had a good look at the ATZ's yesterday so I have them to compare to on thickness, hardness etc... I realise its not a conclusive test but having a ...

Looks like competition for the MT ATZ 4-ribs. i.e. a tough 'AT' tyre. yep, and 100 per tyre cheaper. I droppped in to one of the Goodyear Autocare places today to see if they had any samples of the Duratrac and the Mickey Thompson rep was there... asked about the Duratrac and neither had seen one ...

Yeah i know but i'm after 33x12.5R15... been quoted $345ea at beaurepairs.

I think I might just bite the bullet and give em a go... I haven't read a first hand report of staking/ripping/tearing a sidewall, everything is "I've heard..." or "apparently..."

So no ones running these yet?

The only thing holding me back is the 2 ply sidewall
Most of the reports I've read from the US are on Jeeps but none seem to have issues with the sidewalls...

I get around 600kms per tank which is about 12-13L/100kms from 4.2 N/A diesel extractors and 2.5" exhaust with 33's. Mostly highway driving but around town/up beach/out bush is generally not much different, maybe around 14L/100km at worst.

so got everything tested today at the mechanics, it seems that the battery is feeding enough power to the starter through the power cable and it had a good earth. so we were pretty sure that the brushes are sticking, does anyone know someone who could fix this up for me fairly cheap? I got a ...

do you sell this 240v 3 phase by any chance i need some! It's pretty easy to make it yourself just use half the usual gauge cable and add a 247ohm resistor approximately 1/4 of the total cable length from the load. If you're getting 270-290V instead of 240V you need to add 1m of 2.5mm2 at the ...
