Td42 same specs as above minus meth and a few killawasps.
Delo 14-40 or castrol gtx 15-40
I wont use penrite anymore after installing an oil pressure guage and watching it lose pressure after a bit of hard work.
The delo and castrol seem drop less in pressure and recover quicker.

It could be done, I see your point. BUT I'd think it would be more trouble than it was worth, all you need it for one sticky relay and you pump 24v straight back into your 12v system and melt everything leaving you stranded in bumfuckidaho. More trouble than its worth.

Not having a crack at you for running one, but at the industry for implying a return to centre damper is better than a normal damper. You have been misled as are thousands of people. The castor etc should encourage your steering to return to centre, not a spring secured with a couple of bolts. A ...

Re: bleeding off boost to anaroid.
Thanks for that. Tips like placing the bleed close to the compensator was what I was after. My gauge turns red and starts beeping when it gets to 500 deg. I just want the extra safety barrier of starving the aneriod at the same point or about 25 deg earlier. The pressure it cuts to would have to be ...

bleeding off boost to anaroid.
I have autron guages that I'm pretty sure has a switch wire that comes on when your preset max egts are reached. My question. Could you use that wire to control a two stage boost controller to limit boost pressure to the boost compensator? In turn reducing fuel and egts? If this is possible, could ...

My mate got a oversized copper rad and still had overheating issues. Could have been other underlying issues though. He had covered the usual bases though. I went from a stock one to a ally PWR one and it handles alot of load really well. Just make sure youve covered all bases before spending bulk ...

Re: Ford v8 air filter for turbo diesel.
Look up how much air yours draws on slow wide open throttle, and then what filter is rated to. Minus about 20% for dirt and overzealousness. Its not about 25psi, its about cubic centimeters of air. Yeah I've read in a few places, CFM is roughly 2.5 times hp. so 500 cfm required. I just wanted to ...

Re: Ford v8 air filter for turbo diesel.
I just wanted to shorten the whole intake from snorkle to turbo. I would run the 4'' snorkle straight through the guard where the existing hole is and into the engine bay, move the charcoal filter thingo and put my airbox there. then one 4'' bend down to the turbo. Can you fit 4'' down through the ...

if you dont need the full drop in height you could just get any fridge slide and make it so it tilts when you slide it out. As in, the arse end of the slide lifts away from your floor 4-5 inches. seen it done. Works well. Otherwise I cant help.

ended up with a 75-85 penrite fully synthetic. did gearbox and transfer.
First 100km no heat whatsoever.
The next 500km I think there was more heat in 4th but less heat overall.
This was loaded with a tinnie on the roof on 35's @ 110-120km/h

My 5th gear heats the gearstick and box up fairly quick. I hadn't changed the gear oil for a long time and on one trip it started to make a very slight whining noise, so I didnt use it until i got home and changed it with the best oil I could get at the time. Penrite semi synthetic 85/90 or ...

No help here, just curious. How much do you need to stick to 2.5t? Are you just concerned insurance wise or is the relevant transport authority that tough on car trailers? It seems every second comp patrol is towed by another patrol. Are they all illegal? That said, I've seen quite a few boat ...

pretty sure the td42 is still being made for forklifts and such. so crate motor is a possibility. Remember you still gotta buy all the bolt on bits including injector pump i believe. Rough guess you wouldnt have any change from 15k just to get it ready to bolt in. let alone clutch, sorting fuel ...
