Re: wiring starter button instead of key
For starters grab a workshop manual and in the back is a wiring diagram. find the relevant diagram indicating the ignition circuit. Usually in the steering colounm is first place to look at the back of the ign switch follow the wires down and will find the wires coloured which will match up to what ...

Re: Wheel Bearing Temp
Hey mate when you check is usually at a servo during a trip and the hub will be abit warmer due to the use of your brakes to pull up. obviously heat is generated from the discs. If you use a infared gun generally they are around 40-50 degress running. Obviously the hotter they are the grease looses ...

Being told that is impossible blah blah blah to change the system did persist and found ...

Re: A/C wiring to canister
Like before mentioned this is a receiver dryer. The wires going there are for a high pressure safety switch. You can connect them together to bypass the switch but is likely to cause damage on a hot day when the head pressure is high.(350 psi+) The switch is designed to cut out when the pressure is ...

Re: lights go out when turn on high beam
Maybe the contacts in the headlight switch are worn or dirty. If you turn the lights on you should hear a click of the relay. Blue relay in drivers side kick panel. Rarely have dramas would look at the contacts in the stalk

Re: Glow circut wiring help
mate try Max Ellerys workshop manual I have found them very good. The timer works similar (or backwards) to a turbo timer when ignition is turned on they come on for a set time. Can trace the wire colour in the loom easy enough or if your sick of using aerostart put a decent relay on the glow plug ...

Re: GQ TD42 factory A/C hi-low pressures.
Hey mate on 134a in aircon applicaton you should see it run around the 30-45 psi suction which is 1-10 degress gas temp so should give you about 8 degrees out the vents. The head pressure on them runs between 200 and 300 psi usually 300 at idle. Is pretty high but when your charging it with gas run ...

Talk to Sean from Swaftec industries. He does all the local diesels and has a very quick gq shorty with a diesel. Longetivity is more down to the timing and tune of the motor keep your temps like engine and egt at safe levels and no worries.

There are quite a few 4wd drive trucks with divorced transfer cases and arent physically to big to fit in a normal 4wd. Try a truck wrecker. Chances are if its in a truck it will be pretty solid.

Hey mate had the same problem with a wagon I bought towed it home and got it running and was blowing huge amounts of white smoke. Re: GU Brakes - what have I done wrong?
Really sounds like a master cylinder problem. For you to have bled the air out and have a pedal that is spongey and slowly goes right down to fire wall would seem that fluid is bypassing the piston in master cylinder or even might be the check valve in the master cylinder bleeding back. If the ...

Hey mate bought a 96 2.8 wagon for the missus to use. Has four inch lift and 35s . When we bought it was very gutless. Put new injectors in and mandrel bent exhaust. Was doing 15litres per 100klm. Did the injector pump timing advanced it and set turbo to run ten psi. Set the fuel screw on the back ...

Re: GU Brakes - what have I done wrong?
Are you doing it by yourself with a bleeder kit? Have never had problems with bleeding brakes on nissan gq or gu even series 5 with abs. A incorrectly set wheel front wheel bearing can do this as the disc will sit further to the outside of the car and the caliper tries to make up the distance. Does ...
