you should be able to get a good early lwb v6 GV for the money you have if you keep good oil up to it changed frequently the timing chain issue will not be a problem. they are a sweet engine plenty of power and pretty good economy. try for a manual as darkhourse has said to get the steel diff. be ...

as above. i would check the steering rack and alignment first, wheel nuts,bearings,tyres try rotating your tyres also.
