im not a mechanic but have done this a few times so correct me if im wrong guys !!park the truck with the wheels as straight as you can..undo the nut on top of the box while holding a screwdriver in the appropiate slote and undo the nut ,then turn the tread down 1/4 a turn at a time tighten the nut ...

id go for the simex not the silverstones as they arn't a true 35 not saying simex are just saying they are bigger/higher than the other,and well ya just gota have SIMEX ah.. :D

personally i would get a crate motor [350] as you already have the same engine in it already so cuts out heaps of problems with putting a different kind of engine in .just my 2 cents worth. ;)

yes it can be done a guy in my 4x4 club did just that this year ,but put a trans out of a factory turbo 1994 into his 89 supercharged safari just had to move the gearbox cross member back a hole or two to make it fit [much bigger torque converter] and swap the flexy plate,much better trans as well ...

i had that problem after i did a body lift ,just check that the stick isnt just hitting the floor..ie wont go into l4 because the floor hasn,t been cut away to suit. 10 min job. :crazyeyes:

yeah they are sh :finger: t we get them in nz for $65 they break so easily its not funny you dont even have to be playing hard cos they break just at the site of a mudhole.i only still have one cos i brought two aswell ill use it to get me home one day other than that it will stay in the toolbox ...

heavy duty cromolly and it hangs well below the diff housing,went heavy duty due to getting sick of repairing/replacing stock ones.

hi ,have been reading about the high steer in the bible great info and pics.I was just wondering if this could be done to a gq THAT HASN'T got a 5 link just stadard,but raised suspension as my draglink hangs below the diff housing and im sick off bending it.thanks mike.

hi we get alot of that problem with the bodylifs that we use in conjuntion with the factory ones .the knock is worse when they are wet and it sounds like its under your feet.take the factory body mount out and grind off 7 or 8 mill of the metal tube and refit problem solved most times. hope that ...

yes it is auto ,ive already moved the auto computer into the glove box along with the other ones on the floor this one is different ,its attached to the seat via a cradel

im not a auto trans guru BUT to my very limited knowledge because they are computer operated you at the best can only give it a service/flush/filter etc over here in nz i get my same year and motor as yours done by a auto trans dude who has all the high tech plug it in diagnostic stuff for your AUTO ...

yahoo problem solved had a new battery put in and the earth wire and the negative wire got swapped around by mistake everything back to normal now...[the earth and neg wires for the arb that is] many thanks to all that replyed ,cheers mike.
