2 Stroke Oil in Diesel
Gday, I'm running a little test regarding 2 Stroke Oil mixed into my diesel to aid in lubricating my injector pump and injectors. I own a 2003 HZJ79 with 240,000km on the clock. My car had developed a strange whistle (which I was thinking was a exhaust issue) and was hard to start hot (cold started ...

Re: 79 series 1hz queries
Have been thinking turbo, but am unsure. Many users get great results and many claim it pops their engine. If I was going turbo I'd swap in a 1HD-FT or FTE instead. I have also been reading about adding 2 stroke oil to the fuel which I just did about 100km ago. I have noticed the whistle seems to ha...

Re: 79 series 1hz queries
Cheers!
I'll send the pump off for a rebuild. Probably could use one after 240,000km.
Anyone know who makes a good set of extractors for these engines?

Glow it till the light dissapears and the normally 1 revolution sees he going. When hot but its a totally different ballgame taking 10-15 cranks before kicking over ...

79series ute onto 80 series chassis
Gday all, I currently roll around in a 79 series ute with the 1HZ, slow!! Just bought a rolled 80 series with the 1HDT in it. What I'm wondering is the legality of dropping the ute body onto the 80 chassis? Then I get turbo plus wider track plus coils (YAY) Has anyone done this swap before? Thanks Mic

I fitted these to our rural fire trucks (Nissan Patrol and Mitsubishi Canter)about 4 months ago. So Far wearing well and awesome traction in the hills (as you would expext with a canter that weighs 5.7tonne wet) Tread Squirms alittle at road speeds, but thats not where we spend most of our time. Ohh...
