I would imagine you would have to turn the oxy sensor on in the ECU. The computer would be set up to run closed loop from factory. Could be done, but you would need the program to do it.

I have a stock 03 2wd hilux and it has no oxygen sensors. I was getting around 400 to a 60L tank and was pretty unimpressed. I threw the stock intake in the bin and made a whole new one with aluminium pipe and silicone hose. Made up a cold air box to sit behind the R/H head light, removed the clutch ...
