Thanks for the replies and suggestions fellas. I just spoke with Greg from Bullet cars and he sugested that I take the Rosta tensioner arm and pulley to CBC and they should be able to help me out. Rosta arm died when it was comming out :bad-words: . So its back to N/A for a while until I get to Bris...

FAb shops in Brisbane to fabricate a new pulley?

As the title suggests, I need a new idler pulley fabed up as the one I have now has been worn down. It was part of the sprintex supercharger kit but they no longer sell/ Make them. I will be heading down in December so I was looking at taking it with me and having it reverse engineered and a new one...

Go and buy/borrow a pitman arm puller. I tried the Jack it up( Not Jack it off!!!) and smack with a hammer but it did not budge. One minute with the Pitman Arm puller and job was done. Cost me $40? from Supercarp.

Battery stuffed? Alt belt missing? Belt too loose? Failing that take it out and to a auto sparky. AEEA have good replacement ones. Good luck.

Loose rear sway bar can make a rattle when low speed cornering, After climbing under and shaking everything by hand this seems to be the most obvious. Worn exhaust mounting rubbers could also be a cause. Let us know if you pinpoint and fix the problem.

In QLD 50mm is all you are allowed in body lift height without engineering cert. you go to the RTA and they give you a form. You detail all the information about what type of blocks, bolts, nuts etc... they then approve it or not. Then as your lift is now not a road worthy issue ( if done corretly) ...

Check for an air lock in your coolant system. After refilling it let the car run and wait for the thermostat to open and bleed the air out, top up with coolant and should be all sweet. Alt fitted and working great :armsup: 13.9V at 1000RPM. Old alt was throwing in 12.2V @ 1000RPM. Will take some pics tomorrow and :cool:

Yes it is the easiest replacement Alt that I found after doing a bit of searching, No modifications needed. Straight swap. Whats the trick to geting the Alternator out?

Ok so I am changing my alternator on my 89 GQ and am having trouble removing the alternator from the bottom mounts. How do I get the Rod that goes from the front to the back on the bottom out? Or do I need to remove the bottom mount from the engine as well? Any help would be great. :?
