Re: Buying new to me fourby , decisions decisions.
Yeah hadnt considered patrol, 80 series or Pajero good options. Spose the missis would have to pick up bacon and eggs on the weekend :p but yeah would be good to factor her In somewhat for those had a few too many or emergency moments. Like the sound of the Pajero, how's the 3.2L turbo DID hold up ...

Re: offroad trailers, the best the worst the what have you's
Thanks for the replies lots of good info here !! Yeah the general design I'd be after is like the above photo, given the lower sides on a 7 by 4 would you be able to fit 3 bikes in 2 forward one backwards? As having the same or smaller wheel track would be good to avoid hitting obstacles in tight ...

Re: offroad trailers, the best the worst the what have you's
Interesting, didnt even think of the articulation factor ! Im guessing most "heavy duty" 7 by 5's you see new for sale would at least have decent springs packs but whats the best way to tell , number of leaf's , length or ??? Free beer inside - want to buy rodeo/colorado - questions
Just joking about the beer :D ..... but whilst I've got your attention I'm looking at buying either a 03 onwards rodeo or colorado in the next 6months as i'm finding everything else is either overpriced or underpowered/not hitting that bang for buck bar. From the research I've done and to narrow it ...

offroad trailers, the best the worst the what have you's
Hey, looking at buying either a second hand - max couple year old trailer or new trailer, mainly for towing bikes on but still has to be a box trailer so it can be used for moving houses and so on. Will have to fit 3 fullsize 450's etc at times so I'm guessing the smallest you could go would be a 7 ...

Re: hilux engine info
So it turns out I can get a 3L diesel for about 1500 and I've heard that the 2L-T manifold bolts onto the 3L block making for a fairly cheap conversion at $2000 on a Toyota surf that originally had the 2LT motor. Now seeing as I'm going from petrol to diesel what is involved with fuel lines and ...
