I put a snorkel on mine close to a year ago. Later i developed some issues, where itd lose lots of power when in water etc. I found that some of the connections (dizzy/lead and lead/plug) were corroded a little bit. I replaced the dizzy (installed a dizzy breather and sealed the base). I ensured ...

I have similiar issues when using stock tyres. bog standard engine, gearbox, diff ratios. WT Only change is series 4 rockhopper. The little engine is at 4100 doing 100, much higher doing 110. When I put the muddies on 32" pedes so 33.4" it gets back close to stock standard gearing in high range. My ...

I assumed that when the cam sprocket mark was inline with the cover mark, that the engine should be at TDC on #1 on the compression stroke. This is clearly false thinking as the engine is actually ready to fire #4 cylinder. Yeah that got me as well. Common sense to me would dictate that the marks ...

Having inspected the barina engine and two cam shafts, the key etc was the same orientation. When the hole bisected with the lines is at the top, it was tdc on piston 1 and 4 as expected. However, piston 4 was at ignition point, and piston 1 was finishing exhaust stroke, and starting intake. We set ...

If i spin the crank 1 revolution, it will align the cam timing mark, but the engine will not be on TDC on #1 compression stroke. Cookie Monster I think you are trying to say, the valves are in the wrong order? Currently in the picture shown the exhaust valve should be closed or almost closed. As ...

rear auto locker
Installed my lockright auto locker in the rear of my sierra today. (I bought vicelore's). I had initially wanted to install it into the front, but whilst I had to replace the rear wheel bearings, i whacked it into the rear. Took me (a novice at cars) about 8 hours to pull the axles, pull the diff ...
