Are you daily driving the 33" MTR's you bought off me??? If so i had wobbles around 80km/hr as well, I put this down to them not being balanced after going wheeling and tyres spinning on the rims. When i put my new 33" BFG AT's the wobbles went away.

Does it have to be the 4wd systems lokka, a lock-right auto lokka from the states from justdifferentials.com for the front end of a GQ is about $350 delivered to your door???

Engineering on the other hand, should be proper engineering, with calcs, manufacturer loadings, material compositions, etc that can demonstrate an alteration is acceptable. That is being safe, not some BS rule made up by a failed engineer working for the Govt coz he cant make it in the real world ...

no actually 33's are illegal on a GQ in QLD as they are larger than 50mm above standard size (31 compared to 33 inch is 50.8mm difference to be technical). So they will have to be fixed which is nothing to do.

But as for suspension he should have been able to test the 3 inch lift and approve ...

Yeah thats possible, you will just need the right connector and then somehow create a negative pressure in the tank you want it to go to. Via a pump maybe.

If you dont have this then it might not even be worth it. half a tank of gas is $30 it probably wont be worth it.

Simply take the auto hub off by undoing the 6 alenn key bolts, then take the sir clip off out of the groove in the cv and then remove the auto locking device (2 washer like things linked together). The put the manual pieces in.

It took me about 30 mins to do and i was being heaps lazy...

Mine is the same. With 33's my speedo is 1 km out at 100km/hr.

It does look quite low at the front. I am making a non winch bar at the moment and mine will sit alot higher than that, but as i said mine is a non winch bar. Its difficult to make a low mount fit and still have plenty of ground clearence. Maybe an ARB bar mightn't be a bad idea.

Yeah its doing it in 2wd, ill lock that nut off and clean the breather hose and see if that makes any difference,

Hey guys just wondering what could be the acuse of the oil leaking here. It leaking on each side, but faster on the drivers side.

Yeah dominator that may be true with larger tyres, but i had them in my GQ with 33's and they clicked and let go under load all the time, so i went to manual ones and they havent let go under load yet.

Hey guys im looking at making custom front and rear bars for my GQ with no body lift. I still have my quarters and do not want to remove them just yet, so a design with keeping the quarters is prefered.

They will fit on it phisically, but the bead might pop off if any real force is put on the tyre. also it is illegal. A 12.5 inch wide tyre must be fitted on at least an 8 inch rim.

But yes my mate has twin lsd. The previous owner intalled the rear diff centre into the front of his shorty mav, so it can be done.

33's on a Patrol are still illegal as the rule states 50mm over standard size and 33's are 2 inches (50.8mm) larger tan standard.

Do a 4.2 conversion, and slap all the things bogged said on and it will gain a little hp...

The 4.2 auto has the 3.9 ratio, the 4.2 manual has the 4.1 ratio and the rb30 has the 4.3 ratio.

Regardless on whether you have factored the extended drag link, panhards, castor correction, etc into the equation for your lift or not why would you bother on spacers?

Anything above 2" lift is illegal anyway, so as mike said previously you may as well go 4" coils (and get better flex), instead of ...

If your wheel bearings are loose there is an easy permanant fix for that.

MQ and GQ wheel bearing hubs are the same as GU.

MQ and GQ use a flat washer between 2 nuts that has tabs you fold over. That washer flogs out easy if the bearings have been tightened before. You need to replace that washer ...

Its a GU, you can fit 36 with just the 3inch suspension lift alone.
