Re: intercoolers for td42 wich is best

Does anyone know what kind of intake temps they are getting after fitting a intercooler? Be it w2a (frozen boost, laminova, etc) or a2a (top and front mount).

The only downside to a straight gas set up IMO is range. With duel fuel, I can carry jerries of petrol to keep topped up when on a day trip or weekend away far from a servo. Can't do that with gas. That is the only reason I am sticking with dual fuel. All my previous cars have been straight gas (wh...

Both times i turned the fuel up it made a significant different. Boost comes on a lot quicker, and turbo response is a lot better (the little thing screams its head off now :P ) It also gave it more power down low and a lot better performance through the revs. Its a lot better than in its stock form...

No no, you need to put the new 50mm block on top of the old rubber mounts! Or else you will be finding cracks in your floor.

I did mine by just turning it up a little bit at a time, about an 1/8th until i was happy with it. Took it for a run after each tune to check the EGT's and see if it was blowing black smoke. Originally i probably turn it up about a 1/4 of a turn, and then after i fitted the intercooler i turned it u...

Not sure, i just blocked mine off.

If you want to know, go get a spring and measure the force to open it.

Yes, you will get a performance gain. The most comes from a bigger dump pipe. But if you get a whole system you will hopefully see some improved low down torque and power.

I just had something similar to this, could be what yours is or not.

But the rubber bushes in the radius arm where it connects to the chassis was worn and therefore the it was slapping around when the radius arm moved.

Anyway, good luck :)
