just wanting to no if any one can post up some pics of there install and a little info of where they got it wheather they used bar and plate or tube and fin intercooler, 2 or 2.5" piping, and did u get good results from ur mods?? looking at doing this to my patrol shortly... cheers

i got a turbo glide system, got a 3' dump pipe put on, bit of a custom setup but it works well.

td42, 3" exhaust, high mount turbo(turbo glide), tuned 13psi = 132hp at the
rear on 33's...... very happy.

hey scotsride, my td42 had around 360,000 on the clock when i decided to turbo it, i didnt actually do any test on it, but i figured it dont blow any plumes of white or blue smoke, gets serviced every 5,000k, it starts and shuts down strait away.... turbo it.. :D im running 13psi boost obviously ...

Well after putting the stethiscope on the gearbox, sump, then the clutch arm going to the slave sylinder..... :crazyeyes: WOW, the noise was so loud i couldnt keep the stethiscope in my ears, very convinced its the thrust bearing.... considering the rubber boot is torn, and sitting in deep water ...

well i put new belts on, new idler pulley bearing and the noise is still
there, BUGGER.... so its a fair chance its the clutch, at least i got new belts and bearings.....wooohhoooo.

Start it, check noise is there... remove all belts... start again and see if it's still there... if it isn't its probably belts or whatever they drive.... if it is there with belts off, may be clutch/throw out.... do the easiest first.. :cool: yeah mate i was thinking of similar, taking the belts ...

Hey mate you got stuck;wheres the pictures.sounds like throw out bearing maybe got water in it.Housing may have water in it when it heats up dries water out in bearing when cooling upon shutdown maybe condensating back into bearing .Good luck let me know how you get on.
