So if i have a 4runner that is lifted 4 inches with a spring lift only (but doesn't look that tall), and the NSW rego is due in 3 weeks, and I'm moving to QLD in that time, should I rego it here in NSW, then transfer all 12 months of it to a QLD rego, or should i drive it up to Brisbane and rego it ...

Can you tell us more? How much was the engine - and was it a front cut or just the engine that you bought...? Can you provide a cost break-down ? $3.5k is not that much money for such a nice engine swap. Any particulars you can give would be greately appreciated... Oh, and good work on such quick ...

I very much doubt that these guys offer a cheap solution.... but I thought I would share with everyone something that we might be seeing in high-angle applications in the future.

I agree, a very clean rig with an incredibly well made rear-bar. I love the sliders with the inlaid checker plate. Much better than my factory standard side steps which are dented and squashed - with the squashed areas being as sharp as a razor blade where the metal has folded onto itself. Can the ...

Before I spun a main bearing I was doing mostly highway driving. I was getting from 11.3 l/100km (lowest) to 13.5 l/100km with my RV6 1995 model on higway driving, and up to about 15-16 l/100km with city driving. Though it needs to be noted that I live in the bush, Bathurst, so it was very rare that ...

Keep looking, they are everywhere in Sydney. Just last week there was a 1995 model 4runner RV6 (that's the 3 litre V6 engine, no electric windows or mirrors, just standard) for sale at a Tempe 2nd hand car dealer for $4999. Apparently it lasted on the lot for all of 2 hours after trade in though ...

When I change from 1st to 2nd it shudders....
Is this a symptom of a bad clutch? When I start from a stand still, it revs out to 4k easily in first, and then when i change to 2nd at high revs it accellerates fine. But if I take it easy, and change sooner, then I get this god awefull shuddering, where the car literally behaves like the brakes ...

I thought they were a bit tight. I was up till 11-30pm trying to squeeze the top one on. I even got out the dremel to shave some of the insides and outsides to make it fit easier, but no luck. In the end I reinstalled the best looking of the two old bushes in the top slot and gave up for the night ...

Help!! - I am having trouble with idler arm bush replacement
I purchased a set of bushes from Repco this morning. Aparently for my V6 1995 4Runner. I was told by a tyrepower store that I needed to fix the idler arm before a wheel alignment could be done. Now the bushes I bought are a nice red, but they are visably thicker than the ones I pulled out (which ...

"It looks completely Farked and would not buy it to fix Shocked" I came to the same decision last night. I agonised over whether or not it would be worth fixing, and decided that the damage is too severe. It has the roof bent from drivers-side of windscreen across to half way back on the passenger ...

What a pity!!!!!! 2 Door 1991-92 Surf for auction
I just spotted this up for Auction.
Such a pity it has extensive damage. I'd absolutely love to own a 2 door surf of this style. So few of them around.
Anyone ---- do you think it is worth repairing? Fixable?

The NSW / sydney trading post would give you a great choice of 4wd utes.
http://www.autotrader.com.au/
This would be a good place to start to get an idea of what you would find when you came to Sydney.

maybe the rotor button has jumped off?
On my 253 in my 4Runner (may it rest in peace), I went through every possible option I and mates could think of. New spark plugs, compression testing, complete timing, chasing the leads back to each cylinder to make sure they were on right, etc etc... and it turned out that the rotor button had ...
