what size tire are you running to require more lift?

38.5s, 2" lift

so what did the 5.29s end up costing to get them all the way to your house?

I bought some 38.5s so I could use a set of them.

Do any of the mitsu diesels bolt up to a '90 3.0l V6 automatic?

I do know that a 4d55 will if you use a km148 2.6l bell housing. But what about a v6 bellhousing? 4m40 maybe?

Where are the flares from? Jeep CJ?

I'd say 5.29s

Shackles will give you more flex, so I'd pick those for the rear. No you can't put shackles on the front just crank the torsion bars.
