ok i replaced the spark plugs today. the old ones were all covered in soot. i checked them on saturday and they were clean so this has only just happened. the car still runs rough so im guessing its a problem with the carby? will driving the car while its running rich cause any damage? ive got a ...

No it was well and truly warm. I dont take it over 2500 before its warmed up. Its the first time ive had it over 4000

also today i noticed if i pump the accelerator pedal between idle to about 1500, the engine just dies but if i do the same thing with the engine about 2500+ it just revs like usual.

i like chops idea. i might have a go at making something like that. at the moment it sits agains the bottom of the back door and rests diagonally up to the rear view mirror (with the rod in half of course). not ideal i know but its a start.

hey guys
went wheeling yesterday and i noticed everytime the suspension flexed up
there was a loud crack/creak. is this just the springs unloading or is something bottoming out. its a coil sprung model too

ok ive got them off and clean
now i cant get them back on
the brakes were pushed while the drum was off if that makes any difference. the pads seem to be pushed out bigger than the diametre of the drum

im not sure. the bracket that holds it to the diff has cracked in half so it could be from bottoming out on something. the one mounted near the transfer case is exactly the same though.

on the rear diff of my sj8a seirra there is a bracket with what looks like a
large coil of rubber. can anyone tell me what this is for? there is a similar
item attached near the transfer case. is this some sort of vibration dampenor?

i cant see a sway bar. there isnt one on the back either but there is no studs there. is it meant to have a sway bar?
