Re: tube bender
I have a cheap bow and arrow bender, with dawn dies and the roller modification.
It will bend NB pipe past 90 degrees without a problem.
It will bend Seamless Tube up to about 50 degrees before it deforms.
I brought my Dawn dies from Blackwoods, trade account. They are not cheap, and i can't ...

Bit of a dig here..
In page two of this thread Zoltan posted a picture of the modified rollers on one of the cheapy benders, turning them into slide blocks...
Do you still have this picture Zoltan? Or anybody?
Cheers

Nah, no repairs. I've already pulled it out and cleaned it up, I just thought surely, surely it couldn't be wire from when it was made.

Hilux Diff WTF is this?
I've pulled the axles out of the front of my LN106 to put in new cv's. I found a wear mark on the long axle, no scoring or gouging just a shiny line around the circumference. So I pulled out the center to search for the cause, and this is what I came across. This is the first time i've had the axles ...

Re: LN106 Hilux Diff
Hey guys, just pulled the front diff center out of my lux. Have a question or two hoping someone can answer.
1. The wear on the spider gears in the photos, is this too damaged to bother putting back in, or is it an acceptable amount of wear? The photo is taken of the worse area. The teeth on the C ...

Yeah pretty certain i'm following. If i've got a rear center in the front, when going in reverse, the diff will be running on the original side of the teeth

Is the info in this thread accurate?
I'm having some front diff issues atm, and on the off chance that the center is farked, I have a rebuilt lsd rear sitting here doing nothing. I can bolt this straight into the front?
1996 LN106 solid axle 4.3s
Cheers guys

Pretty much all of this is wrong...sorry mateShadow wrote:fj40 never came with a H? only a B(early) and 3B(later)
FJ45 and FJ47(ute and troopy) came with H and 2H.

RAY185, It looks similar, but slightly different shape and looks to be different bolt pattern. Not sure why it says 3B engine, every search I do shows that part number is for a 2.4 surf/hilux

I had thought about that, but from what i've read 60 steering is much better, and isn't there still problems with the tyre scrubbing the steering arm (at the rear of the tyre) on factory 40 steering?WICKED wrote:

Thanks for the replies fellas, if you do have a spare, dont part with it!
Apparently they don't make them anymore, there's only 2 left in Aus so the bloke at Queensland Cruisers tells me. $140 for the bottom, $120 for the top.
Andy.

Cheers guys, nah haven't tried any auto shops yet, just spent a few hours searching around the net, i'll be checking out repco, aussie auto ect on monday.
It's strange it's pretty easy to source the housing for F,2F,2H ect but nothing for the B motors
