Alright, rear locker equals good traction for pushing up hills because of your weight transfer to the rear of the vehicle when ascending a hill, but a front locker also helps keep you on the line you wanted in the first place :D , there is no pount trying decent hills if you can't puck and maintain ...

12ht- 2h all the same box and transfer ratios and all 4.1:1 diff ratios. no difference, tyres affect what they call your "final" drive ratio, the bigger the tyre the taller all the gears become, with actual road speed, it also dramatically impacts your torque my 2h sixty sits on 2600 at 10...

yeah mate my ln65 hilux had a 2L in it and i upgraded to a 2L-T and it bolted straight in no dramas. as for difference of the motors i think the 2L-T has a boost compensator on the injector pump to adjust the fuel to the boost of the turbo. i dont know about any other differences, but that dosnt mea...

Re: early and late 2h info please
the heads are the same, the only real difference is the early 2hs had cast iron piston ring retainers and the later ones didnt, which meant the later ones risgs flogged out the piston ring grooves until they move that much they bust and then you drop a cylinder. so early 2h pistons are better to use...

glow plugs do affect your starting, and do work after your car is started, they only use power when you first start up but after that they are kept hot by the combustion of the engine firing. especially on an engine thats probably a bit long in the tooth and has lost some compression over the years....

the turbo on a 12ht is a ct26, because the 12ht is direct injection it has much higher exhaust flow, which means it can spool the turbo better and alot earlier. The garret MA24 off a 3litre patrol should be pretty well suited to the application, its at around the right volume to give you good boost ...

2h motors unfortunately have low exhaust flow but large combustion chambers which makes it notoriously difficult to choose a turbo for, you need one that spools easily on low exhaust flow (like a small turbo would) and one that can keep up the boost in large pots at 3500 rpm (like a larger turbo wou...

if it's with highway driving, your vehicle could be over fuelling, turning the fuel up gives you extra torque but also extra heat and when your on the highway, usually your foot is down bout halfway so if your fuels set a bit high it can heat up after a period at high revs. does it blow alot of dies...

the CT26 will be way to big, your indirect injection 2LT will not have enough exhaust gasses at lower rpm's to drive the CT26, a CT26 wont even run right on a 2H 4.0 litre indirect injection which has much more exhaust than a 2LT and 2H ct26 makes 7-8 psi at 2400rpm which is way too late. Like wot t...
