diff not breathing properly.
not enough preload on carrier bearings.
seal housing not floating on airlocker properly.
damaged o rings caused by any of the above.

your oil in the air lines will come down to at least one of these things.
who built the diff?

there are none available from stockists,always on back order.
they are only made for a limited number of vehicles.

arb have a huge application chart for 4x4's throughout the world,not just toyota and nissan.

with tjm moving all their manufacturing ...

very common on d40 2.5 td,if you tow regularly.

a friend tows 2.5t of trailer daily and has them replaced every 20 000km under warranty.

the d40 is now out of warranty and will be sold.

a customer of mine spun the main bearings with less than 5000km on the clock.
it was fixed under warranty.

they are known to split bores,which is quite expensive to fix.

all parts are very expensive.
and at 200-250km you will be replacing plenty of things.

i doubt very much the truth in your "mate" breaking two of the two piece airlockers.

the steel arb uses has a higher breaking strain than any component you would find in a patrol.

they are much stronger than the original 3 piece design and also use a larger carrier bearing than nissan use as ...

I welded my hilux rear a few years ago,
i used an open centre,stripped the gears and bearings and welded everything
to everything.this was a 200amp mig,fully cranked,welding for 30 minutes.
it took about 2 hours to cool.
I ran it in the rear of my 83 hilux t/d for about three years with 33 inch ...

the comp truck winches i have worked on are all modified warn high mounts with twin 12v 6hp motors that are supplied 24-26v.

this makes the 12v motors scream but wear out quickly.typically rapid brush wear or sometimes brush failure.

in the real world a 24 volt winch being supplied 24v will work ...

you have a problem with either diff breathing,not enough carrier bearing preload,worn o-rings,excessive seal housing movement or all of these combined.

you should take the car to arb to have it diagnosed and setup properly.

Matt,the way you have run the airline is not quite right.

i can't really describe how i would change it other than saying you have run the tube too high.

i would agree that it is very difficult to set the pipe up correctly without lots of experience fitting this new style of airlocker ...
