Thanks for the informed answer ferozamaniac. I thought that might be the case, I have no pin just a frayed wire end. I'll try a ball of solder on the tip and see how we go.

Thanks tehekho I'll do that. I wasn't sure if lubricant might be a problem with contact between the plate and the wire. Might even go a step further and solder a ball on the tip of the wire so it'll slide smother over the polished plate.

I've had a rattling grinding noise coming from the steering column so I checked it out. Sorry, don't know much about this stuff but this is what it looks like. On the topic of HD variants, just as a general question, is anyone familiar with the HD-EP? I think it might have been only for the Jap market Pyzar/Gran Move, just wondering what mods it had over the HD-E.

Not sure if it helps at all but I'm running 31" Big Horns muddies with standard offset 7" rims on my f300 and covered by narrowtrack flairs. The outer wall of the tyre is almost exactly in line with the edge of the flair, perhaps a 1 or 2 mil in. Have been puled over by the boys in blue twice now ...

Recently I've noticed a clunky noise when pressure is put on or taken off the drive. I'm guessing that's a cv. Sorry not really mechanically inclined but I'm tryin to learn. Can somebody please give me an idea of $$$ and what's likely to happen if I can't get it fixed soon. It's my daily drive.

I bought a radiator cap with a temp gauge built in just to check to see what that sits at. I popped the lower rad hose after I did my body lift (fan was just nicking it), and the gauge shot right up. Luckily I noticed straight up and there didn't seem to be any damage. That was about 12 months ago ...

I did my own 50mm lift and only had to drop the radiator, haven't had any probs. A young fella who works at the local wreckers did a 70mm lift and said he only had to move the radiator too. As far as I can see a 30mm lift wouldn't need any thing else to be moved/extended.

Could someone just confirm for me that the changes from early to late models happened in 1992? which month qualifies as late? Also, I've seen reference to F300 and F300B, I assume the B is after these changes.

checkout ebay (search for 'feroza'). I got mine (blocks only) from local 4x4 wrecker for $200 but could have done better .
