was running close on 500 to 550 mark most of the way up the freeway, fiddled abit with the fuel screw and bleed valve and found a happyish medium, under load was yea 500s no load just crusin was 300s, still way ...

yea its only smokin under full throttle not all the time, so when the fuel is really pumpin in there....
yea might loose a lil power but its better to loose a lil power n be able to drive it rather than nurse it up "knolls" im havin to change dwn to like 3rd sometimes just to get up a mini incline ...

yea those are pre turbo temps.... only ever seen it over 700 once.... most times its below the 600s.... not to keen on pushing the limits....

so more boost? and back fuel off? these combind will make me be able to drive up hills without worrying about egts.....

yes lots of smoke.... equals burning ...

i have re-installed the "charcol" canister.....
and moved the vavle to closer to the alternator now the brake go right to the floor the first time (still work.... well slow me dwn) then same thing... nxt few times it just gets harder and harder again.....

yea got a 1 way valve in there now.... (its right off the brake booster) will it make a difference were it is in the line?

still no real difference....

high egts are "flat to the boards" and got "spike" at 714.... backed off as soon as i saw it go over 700....
crusin round if i dont change down gears just more right foot it can get into the 600s pretty easily...

yea it needs a tune but can quite do ...

yea just had a look 2night, have 2 pipes coming off the bacl of the alternator for vacuum, and one of them wasnt really sealed properly, havent had a chance to drive her yet but hope this helps a bit....

got the mav running sweet, but i seem to have not the raddest of brakes, got good brakes the first time i use them, then its like kicking a brick wall. im going to check out the vacuum lines, just wondering if there is any thing else i should check out or if there could be any other ...

i got a old n/a td42 with a denco turbo kit on it, and it seems to be blowing heaps of fuel, wondering if i need a boost compensator, or if i can just back the fuel down a bit???

im new to this diesel stuff... egts.... boost compensators.... :?

the main reasoning behind turbo timers on diesels would be the same with pettys yea? the turbo is not going to know what engine is spooling it up, so letting it cool achives the same as a petrol...

pretty much 100% finished now, got the diesel in with no real complications what-so-ever which was awesome!
just got a few little dicky things to sort out n she'll be good to go.

im also doin an engine swap froma tb42 to a td42-t not sure on power out put atm but a bigger cooler bigger turbo and a dyno and i will let you know how things pan out....

got a bit of petty turbo knowlege..... whats the difference between petty n diesel turbo induction???
basically the same, more air = more fuel/diesel = more power
therefore with a massive sized engine, 4.2 lts a larger exhaust housing shouldnt be that laggy....
