I have done the searches in the threads my actual question is the extra expense of running 35's actually worth it if my Patrol is more of a daily driver i am stuck with the decision of running 33's as it sits now or going to 35's but is it worth it for a weekend warrior / daily driver?

Blown head gasket is one possibility there aswell make sure your thermostat has a little maybe 2 mm hole in the flat plate part or it may have one there with a little plastic ball thing to block it off they need that to bleed the cooling system also check all your hoses are clear expecially the 10mm...

You will need to buy a mixer hat to sit ontop of the carby that should be about it and maybe a safety switch

If you want tot try it its up to you but you can run about say 1L of kerosene through the engine oil at say 1500 to 2000rpm for like 10 mins and drain the oil and change the filter. I have done this before on other cars and its cleaned out the gunk in the lifters and got rid of noise. Depends how ba...

I would take it back to the mechanic and ask them as they have done the work you dont want to void any warranty by playing with it yourself. It could be something as simple as a piston sticking in a caliper?? but get ya mechanic to look at it

nah shouldnt matter the other thing to check is where abouts the main mixture valve is sitting on the mixer where it reads L and R its like a 15mm spanner sized valve make sure its around halfway roughly maybe a tabe more towards the r side then try it but i would really take it to dyno shop for tune

I would also suggest pulling the mixer off and having a look inside it as the impco mixers with age wear inside and the valve can rooster inside giving unstable mixture as i said if you dont know how to pull it all down i would take it to a gas shop kitting these mixers might not be the way to go as...

You could have either a shagged mixer or convertor you should probably take it to a gas shop so they can check it out for you thats if your mixer adjustment is not working

Change your air filter! if its old put a new one in it. you need to make sure you have no vacuum leaks and also you need to change that backfire sock over. If no better get it tuned by a gas shop!
