Re: Td42T which airbox is big enough for 23+psi
I'm running a donaldson 10in airbox and it works well for me in a 217rwhp turbo diesel gq running 26psi, but i had to modify the left hand inner guard and my batteries are under my tray.

Re: PROJECT: GU LEAF TO COIL
your other option is to put a wagon chassie under your ute and cut off the old ute mounts or get some bent up by a sheety, I had a gq leafy and did it. the only difference is if you get a gq chassie, would have to get gq body mounts also and obviously you'd still have to get a coil rear diff.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac
I'm also running the duratrac's and think they are a great all round tire, so much quieter than the new mtr's. If you buy the tires thru a beaurepaires tire store you can get tire insurance which covers flat tires through to destroying the tire completely. it is definately worth it.

Re: GQ - longer bump stops, what have u used?
How much longer are 80 series bump stops? do they just bolt into where the original patrol front bump stop bolts? any idea on cost? I was also thinkin about measuring exactly how much longer they need to be. Then welding some box section cut to size on the dif housing and leave the original bump ...

Re: Dyno run.
as for the torque figures being wrong- that is what the dyno sheet read. The dyno operator got the gear ratio wrong. It's a pretty common mistake which means the overall shape of your torque curve is still right, but the numbers are wrong. You can scale it back to what it should be if you can match ...

the exaust temp was getting up to 550degwith the standard air filter but with the big air filter it hasn't got much above 450deg, you've just got to keep an eye on the water temp as I still have a standard radiator. I had an dyno printout about 3 years ago but... as for the torque figures being ...

Re: thermos instead of engine driven fan
if you are running a 4.2 diesel, leave the factory fan in place, I tried changing my but could never get it to run as cool as what it did with standard fan, I've been told the 4.2 petrol and 4.5 petrol factory fans have a bigger rake on the fan blades and so cool better than the diesel fans, but ...
