i run a 2876 on mine and am yet to get the pump done put plan to in near future . larger plungers and boost compensator. as above depends on power wanted and if your prepaired to spend coin on pump and injectors

new cut off solenoid

sounds abit like a short to constant power , insted of getting power when the ignition is on get a test light fromt the battery to the switch with the key off if it lights up there is a short .
then the fun part of finding it , could you have damaged the loom at all while doing the swap?

take its a diesel if so would think it would be a lazy fuel cut off solenoid

look at competion vehicles or members rides there will be heaps floating around
