Re: SURF INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
I did the same thing to my DX model 4Runner, but a long time ago. As the surf cluster runs a different wiring card at the back of the cluster I found it easier to use my existing cluster. I removed the extra two gauges from the surf cluster and screwed them into my original and using the surf's blac...

Re: Thoughts on ex mine vehicles
I've seen a GU Patrol and 100 Series Landcruiser both from the mines in a wrecking yard. Both were full of dust inside the chassis rails.
Can't be good long term for rust and must also add some extra unnecessary weight.

Re: 3RZ+T + R150F into Hilux
I've got a R150 box from a 2LTE Surf that I was planning to bolt to my 3RZ.
My bellhousing is around 175mm.
It looks like you need the short shaft box to match your 2TR bellhousing.

Re: engine conversions in 4 runners
There's plenty of info on:
http://www.toyotasurf.asn.au/forum/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
under the topic Engine conversions.
Another common conversion for the 4Runner is the Lexus 1uz V8.

Re: Can anyone identify this diff?!?
Hi folks. When I bought my 92 v6 4runner 8 months ago it came with a bunch of parts one of which was by the looks of things a rear diff. I never got round to checkin the thing out till now but need a hand identifying what it is?! Ratios etc... I may be mistaken but is it locked?! When I spin the dr...

Re: wreckers in sydney area
I've used Mr Spares in Smithfield as my first choice for the past few years and haven't had a problem with their service. I also found East Coast in Chipping Norton pretty good but they seem to do more mechanical work and engine rebuilding lately. Other than that I end up going through the yellow pa...

Re: 3RZ conversion...
Just wondering what the differences in the 2wd and 4wd sumps are? I used a 2wd one, but fitted diff drop spacers, those that come in the ball joint lift kit. It gave me about an inch and a half clearance, and also sits the cv's pretty much horizontal, so worked well. Front driveshaft angle increase...

Re: 3RZ conversion...
Did the same thing in a RN130 4runner. If it is a ifs 4x4 then you will need to use the 4x4 sump from the RZN169 to clear the front diff. I didn't need a body lift, but am only running 31" rubber. Had to change to the v6 handbrake to get clearance from the egr plate. I moved the battery over to...
