How to Replace series 80 speedometer cable

My 1992 Land Crusier speedometer has been whining for a while. I've been told that it needs a new speedometer cable. I bought the cable. Anybody got any ideas on how to go about removing the old and installing the new? Is it possible to do without removing the dash and instrument cluster? Any tips ...

as said most likely to be the brake or clutch pedal switch Thanks. It's 1992 with an automatic transmission, so I'll look for the brake pedal switch. That's not the same switch that turns on the brake lights, is it? In any case, can you suggest an easy way to test the switch when I find it? Thank ...

The cruise control on my 1992 Land Cruiser stopped working. The light comes on, but I cannot set the cruise speed...(after attempting to set it and letting up on the accelerator pedal the LC just slows down!).

Did you ever figure out how to fix yours?
