I bought this a while back to fit to my Jeep camper with a 6bd1 Isuzu. From memory it's designed for a late model Patrol.
Is anyone familiar with which openings on the vacuum pump are for what?

Re: Condensation in Toolboxes
Maybe some cloth or carpet or something to absorb the moisture? I doubt you could stop moisture entering because its probably entering in the air whenever you open the doors.

Re: aluminum bullbar to winch bar ???
I had one made up years ago for a MQ with an alloy bar, I only used it a few times, but no problems. Sorry no pics. It was just 3 pieces of steel welded together in a [ shape then bolted between the chassis, then cut and drilled for the winch to fit.

just remember with the isuzu it's not the power you have to wory about its the torque pulse they have
:) Exactly why I'm asking around. I started out thinking the 4speed cruiser box and transfer that was in the Jeep would be plenty. I've seen em handle plenty of HP.
Also thanks Serg n Chimpboy ...

Re: Is a GQ transfer case strong enough for a 6BD1?
A 97 Disco LT230 transfer case will have a 1.2:1 reduction (not overdrive) in high range. Defenders have 1.4:1 reduction, those 110's with the Isuzu engine and Santana gearbox had approx 1:1 (can't remember exact ratio) high range.
If you want to use a PTO, the Isuzu gearbox (at least those I ...

Re: Is a GQ transfer case strong enough for a 6BD1?
Thanks for the input everyone.
The 6speed is an overdrive and I have a 5speed non overdrive spare that came with the motor.
I had a feeling the Nissan case was plenty strong but thanks for removing the niggling doubt. I hadn't considered adapting it instead of divorcing. What's the process of ...

Is a GQ transfer case strong enough for a 6BD1?
I'm installing a Isuzu 6BD1 with 6speed Isuzu gearbox into a 63 Jeep J200, I already own a GQ transfercase which would require divorcing. Does anybody know if it'll handle a 6BD1 which will be turboed later?
The other option I'm considering is the Land Rover LT230. I don't own one though they seem ...

Full time transfer case V's Part time
What are the pros and cons of full time FWD transfer case? I've seen the kits to alter full time to part time so I'm assuming there's reasons why part time is more desirable. I'm considering using a Discovery LT230 TC which I believe is full time and can be converted to part time.

I've looked under a Blitz truck and they have huge TC's. Are these what you have? I have a reasonable amount of space but don't want to over do things. Divorce Transfer Case advice
I'm considering what transfer case to use in a 63 jeep with an Izuzu 6BD1 diesel. Its a 5.8l 6cyl around 165hp. As I'm using the Isuzu gearbox I'd prefer a divorced TC or if its easy to divorce a married TC I'd like to know how. An Isuzu TC is around $7000 exchange!

Cheers for that RED60, yeah its a bit long with no progress eh. The rear radiator idea has changed now that I can fit the radiator in the front where it belongs. Radiator volume could still be an issue. The rear radiator would have had an electric water pump and thermo fans and would have blown hot ...

After realising that the sump and oil pickup can't simply be altered, lots changed. I have now cut a rather large hole into the firewall and moved the engine back to allow the sump to clear the front diff. The front diff pumpkin is on the drivers side. Fortunately there's lots of room under the dash ...

But yes, the gearbox could be a weak link and will probably be upgraded if it breaks. False economy? Not if you either have to do it the cheap way or not at all. (Familiar anyone)
